Folks who belittle others have a problem to start with. It's called "insecurity".
It also has no bearing on wealth or how poor an individual is. It only takes 10 mins at a webmaster show (or any public gathering) to identify "insecurity" - it
often comes in the from of a need to be relevant.
Conversely, the guy who cleans cars may be poor, but still try to belittle his work colleagues.
Insecurity often comes along with a bout of arrogance, a need to boast and make claims which are "not quite accurate" - it's an embarassing disease
There are a few people well-known internationally in their own fields of expertise and much respected. They certainly are not what could be described as wealthy. They accquired respect by who they are as individuals - and often are the most modest and quiet people in a room, despite they have more to boast about than 99.9% of the folks on this planet. Never would there be an instance of belittling anyone - it's the complete opposite.
So!! Spot the bullshitter - chances are he will have a "face" to present to you and another face to present to folks he needs to get nasty with in an effort to satisfy his insecurities
