Got a question and need some advice. (Found out someone is shooting 17 year olds)

Ok....

I know asking for advice on GFY is liking asking the mentally handicapped to reverse engineer the space shuttle.

But I'm really perplexed what to do and perhaps there is someone with a spark of intelligence.

The problems are:

1) I want to protect the "source" that told me. (Saying anything would link back to them immeadiately)

2) Some of the modesl are no longer under age and would rather not be identified.

3) It was only solo girl that was shot. (But still......)

4) This guy is a pain in the ass! He literally gets on the phone and calls everyone in the industry that he knows and will bad mouth the person. All in an attempt to divert attention from himself. (I don't want the hastle and I don't want to put reliable porn talent out of work.)

5) As a pornographer myself, I understand operating in the greyzone. Although this asshole has crossed the line in my opinion. If I made trouble for this guy by calling the cops on him. Even tho I'm clean and run a very tight ship... I don't want hastles with law enforcement asking questions or checking up on me.

So I'm looking for options or suggestions. Or perhaps I just need someone to tell me to shut the fuck up and mind my own business.

Seriously... depends what country and legal age - and the nature. I suppose you prob mean some "adult" content - in which case it may be illegal.

The youngest model we ever used was 17, but that was not "adult" in nature - just a catalogue shoot - she was just an excellent model and went on to better things.

Any crap to do with porn and "not of age" people can involve a lot more shit than may appear at first sight and be actually serious stuff. I dunno, depends - it may be worth a quiet word to quit - if not, report it.

I think you are saying the shooter uses "illegal" models on several occasions? In which case he's going to be another boring smartass amateur and prob worth reporting this - tho also preferable you have concrete evidence of the model age to give you some "surity" and as a basis for the law to work with.

Dunno why he shoots material of models when he can't end up with legitimate model releases to sell the stuff - but that may be another story

You know the background of the guy - if he's "at it" in other ways, it's better he's thrown in jail.

This is what I think I'm going to do. And I welcome criticism right about now. I'm going to report him to Ascap. And then see where it goes from there.

It's ilegal and creeps like this hurt our industry. I condem it with complete hatred. But these are 17 year olds and some are over 19 now. If I find out that he has been shooting younger girls, like 12 year olds. I'll call the cops in a second!

Please don't take this the wrong way. But I really wish someone else had found out this information.

Agree.. sure don't!!

BTW.. The offenses are not an ASACP issue - the UK has the "dirty dozen" (the porn squad), in Scotland Yard who will investigate this.

These folks are always dangerous - even if not directly with models, any association with them can lead to silly stuff.

That's a good idea if you can see he has committed offenses in the US to report to ASACP and keep you hopefully at arms length.
