I am sure my judgement is clouded by having grown up in America ..so most of the images I have burned in my brain are American. However..a few come straight into my mind...this one is an example- Lange captured an era in our history rather well:

she's still alive, and has written a book about her life. I can't remember her name, but she has kids and everything and has liven a full life in america

I would think a few of them would be John, and yoko, or the Girl on National Geographic Cover with the piercing eyes, or the Sailor coming back from WWII kissing the girl.

Hard to pinpoint the most famous.

Ok, actually the most famous photos on the planet are of Jesus. I can't find any recent ones. This one was from an ad he did as a model, previous to his career as a prophet.

well in all fairness, che was only being photographed, the photographer still answers to fidel castro today and has been their photographer since the revolution days.

i watched a documentary on him and his photography.

he has made quite a few bucks off the image

che was only content when you really think aboput it, considering, it was filmed by a photographer employed by castro, even still is - even if some regard it as propaganda.

I would suspect that its the picture of the guy and girl kissing at the Eiffel Tower. Its a classic from way back when.
