Leaker: " Heck of a job, Rummy "

Rummy : " Shooter agrees, so let's stay the course "

Shooter: " Agreed... Oil has never been this high ... "

Scooter: " Meanwhile, I am picking up the heat for you guys "

"I support my secretary of defense," Lt. General John Vines said today when questioned about the calls for Mr. Rumsfeld to step down. "If I publicly disagree with my civilian leadership, I think I've got to resign. My advice should be private."

There's one guy you gotta admire. The other generals aren't worth their salt. What a bunch of whiny losers.

The terrorists don't like Rumsfeld either.

          Keep that in mind too.

This is scary in the fact that for the first time generals are speaking out. You can only imagine what the umpteen other officers and non-comms are thinking and not saying.

I actually kind of like Rumsfeld for some reason and blame everything on Bush, but if so many generals are accusing Rumsfeld personally, I guess he is probably at fault and should resign. I'd like to see generals accuse Bush and have him resign....

I dunno about generals not making good politicians:

                      General George Washington

                      General Ulysses S. Grant

                      General Dwight D. Eisenhower

Eisenhower had the most peaceful administration and boom years during the 50's.

Generals make better leaders because they've been trained and drilled. Eisenhower had far more wisdom than any president of the modern era. It was he that warned about the growing military-industrial complex which is now in control.

We need more generals in the political arena for my money.

It's not that many Generals. It's a few with an axe to grind. How many times have you thought your boss was a jerk when you had a boss? Sometimes the guy that is least popular, is the guy that is needed. I don't know Rumsfield personally, but I don't know what these Generals are up to either.
