this is true, but i know a ton of affiliates that will either hear about a new site or just be surfing and will look for the "webmasters" link if it is a site that they want to promote (not even caring what the programs name is). in the end the name doesn't really matter one way or another and it doesn't bother me THAT much. i just like to see new and creative thoughts, rather than the same old xerox clones.
