What do you think?
Are really the tens of women who place their nude pics on AFF saying they live in London and they want some action, real woman looking for easy fuck partners? Or rather professional whores, or just often fake profiles?
I am a big supporter of AFF. But, I've said it before and I'll say it again...wish you guys would drop the FAKE geoads. The girls in the geoad pics are NOT from the surfer's area and are most likely NOT even members. If they were real members, then you would run into the same legality issues that prevent you from posting real LOCAL members pics in your ads.
If the profiles on AFF are all real, then why stoop to "bait and switch" with your advertising. This takes the whole program down a few notches.

So Tawnee Stone doesn't live in my city? Awww....fuxk!
I post on GFY so that when people ask me what I do,
I can tell them that I work with the mentally retarded.
it is hard to believe but I think they arereal , altough I wonder why (and some are really cute ) gils set up their profile there when they can easily have every man they see on the street ...
Very simple: Power, Control Anonymity and Breadth of Selection.
An attractive woman on the street or in bar is much more vulnerable than she is on AdultFriendFinder.com. On our site, she can "browse" anonymously among the millions of men, women and couples in our DB. She can determine the moment of contact, the rate at which things unfold, and choose to make a date only when she is perfectly comfortable doing so.
Our site also allows members to find each other based on personal factors, pereferences and predilections that may not be in evidence externally, as when you meet eyes with someone across the bus -- like the man in the business suit who has an affinity for having candle wax drizzled on his testicles or the mousy-looking girl who wants to fuck you with a strap-on.
The idea that AdultFriendFinder (or the sex personals site model, in general) is nothing but a sausage-fest with no real women is absolutely false. I'd say this perception relates to the unfortunate belief many men have that women don't really enjoy sex for its own sake, and that only "whores and sluts" would participate in a For-Sex meeting environment.
People also forget that a single girl on AFF (or similar) can afford to be VERY picky. Unless you're the exact 'type' she's looking for then she will simply ignore you or give a thanks but no thanks.
It is pretty heavy towards guys. It has to be as we promote on adult sites and the traffic is weighted towards guys.
I know YOU have tons of women on your site but spare us. Most porn sites do not have over 10% women.
Sure, lots of AdultFriendFinder traffic comes from adult sites. But, the percentage of women we get is NOT the same as you see for adult pay site joins, which is the only metric you could possibly have for comparison. A more useful (and telling) metric would be what percentage of women does adult site traffic comprise? There are more women "looking" than you think. The reason they may be under-represented (from the perspective of the average content pay site operator) is very simple: Most content pay sites don't offer women what they want -- so they don't buy. It doesn't mean they are not there (in the overal traffic numbers), or that there aren't pay sites that DO appeal to them, and DO earn their paid memberships.
Another factor is that AdultFriendFinder's traffic capture strategy is NOT limited to just adult sources of traffic. One of the ways we expand the appeal of the site (towards both women and the mainstream) is via AdultFriendFinder's "soft" iteration -- Passion.com. Passion.com IS AdultFriendFinder -- same member DB, but in a package that greatly expands it's reach beyond the parameters of adult and beyond the usual male-skew of adult traffic.
Jack, you have an interesting habit of always skimming right over my discussion regarding the fake Geoads. Like I said before, it's hard to decide what to take seriously...the statements that everything in AFF's power is done to ensure the authenticity of all profiles....or the ads put out by the very same company which actively misrepresent "local" members.
I have no doubt that this increases the conversion rates, but at the end of the day, I will continue to choose to make 70% or even 10% of the money possible, by promoting your program using honesty and integrity.
Lots of real ones on there. A load full of escorts and prostitutes. One high end gal responded to an e-mail and said she would hook up with me for several thousand and a shopping trip.

I'm not skimming over anything -- I just felt I'd explained this before on previous threads.
An "ad", be it a simple 468 banner or one of our latest dynamic geo-gems, is a promotional tool intended to do one thing -- compel a click, and then to link to a page or site that delivers well enough on the expectations established by the ad to drive a conversion. As regards that basic objective, the effectiveness of our geo-ads is self-evident, and has already been the subject of numerous congratulatory and grateful webmaster threads.
Although there is an argument to be made that the images of people appearing in most ads for most things are seldom more than models and actors, I DO acknowledge that there is a difference in the case of geo-ads, where there is (at least) the implicit suggestion that the images you're seeing in the ad are not only actual members, but also members located near you.
For this reason, we have done two things:
1. We have removed any text that might suggest the images are actual members from the 1.0 Version of our geo-ads.
AND
2. We are creating an opt-in mechanism for actual members that will place them in a "Promotional Pool" of members, to be used in geo-ads and for other marketing purposes outside the site, as part of the 2.0 Version of the geo-ads.
As this pool grows in size, we expect to have a 100% transition over to only ACTUAL members. In the meantime, I am prepared to defend the ethics of using of non-member images in our geo-ads on the grounds that visitors DO see real members in their area on the first click, thus honestly delivering on the offer of "Members in Your Town". Thus far, we've had no complaints from new members that a person they had seen in a geo-ad could not be found within the site -- LOL. One benefit of operating a Sex Personals site (versus a site more oriented towards marriage and relationships) is folks are a little easier to please and little less distractable from their basic goal -- JUST GETTIN' LAID.

hehe, this thread is a few months old and you already replied to it and said basically the same
