We love the Fish n Chips. We always will. But the other night I broke from tradition and, rather whimsically, ordered the Combo Platter. I could hardly make out what I was supposed to get, cuz the menu on the wall over the Fryer was so greasy and grey. But the gist was that I would get some other fried things AND at least one piece of fish. So, I though what the hell, and ordered it. I should also mention that the Combo Platter was a teense more expensive than the standard order of Fish n Chips, which is, what, like 3 pieces of fish, right? But, since you usually, I am guessing here, order the LARGE order of FnC, your net increase would probably be no more than 2 bucks.
I should say that the Combo Platter came with indeed one piece of Fish, but also 2 yummy fried shrimp, 2 oysters (pretty danged good), and 3 bits of unidentfiable "seafood", that I might have enjoyed more if I knew what the hell I was eating. I have a feeling, though, they are a popular delicacy in certain places of the world -
