                          They reviewed the camera on tech tv and they mentioned that the only software that supports this camera's native HD resolution is Vegas Video 5. Not sure if it's true, but that would suck if it is.

                              We got 3 hvr-z1u's yesterday which is the big brother of the fx1, looks good so far but we havent got to the point of encoding anything from them yet. looking forward to seeing the results thought.

                                      Sony is notorious for that type of shit. Sure my MicroMV camera is the size of a deck of cards, but I paid 2+G's for it and its fucking usless.

                                      I woulda opted for the Panasonic DVX100A. But good luck regardless.

                                          Also I have a friend who shoots with the JVC HD-1 (I belive thats the model) and he is having the toughest time importing the footage. Even to Premiere Pro which supposedly supports HD.
