A couple of days (or a weekend) once, and THAT was all it took. You definately have to be a certain kind of person to be in such a situation and NOT go insane in the membrane.

Sucked when I was doing it but now when I think back, it was nothing. All that shit they talk about ass rape and etc is all bullshit hype to keep people out of prison. In the three years I did there wasn't one single ass raping. The only thing I can say is that you will fight on a regular basis. Also, clique up with a group as fast as you can. That will help out tremendiously.Comment

I spent just over a month in a TDC detention center last fall because of a "clerical error". because of their fuck-up, i ended up losing my condo, my car, and my business (no one knew where i was so all bills went unpaid). funny how someone elses stupidity can destroy your life.

also various one night here another there over the years
i've managed to stay out of trouble for about 7 years now though

I did a little under three months in county for something stupid I did right after I turned 18.
The food sucked and the guards were pricks. Living in a cage with 20 people isnt fun. It wasnt a vacation - wasnt expecting one. No one's ass got taken and people mostly kept to themselves. As the saying went, if you dont start nothin, there wont be nothin.
Keep your nose on your own face and whatever you do, dont be a snitch. And dont say you are in a gang if you arent. They will check up on you/your story and if you have lied, you'll get fucked up much worse than if you had just kept your mouth shut.Comment
