How do you deal with DVD/VHS boot leggers?

How should we go about dealing with boot leggers in NYC selling our productions? We're in London, Baghdad, and Prague, so we can't get all "detective" on their ass. We also don't know if it's the store who is bootlegging, or if the material is being distributed elsewhere. They are also selling bootlegs of other production company's work, all of which seem to be produced outside of the USA. We were tipped off by a customer of ours.

    Thanks,
    Stickyd

Why *can't* you get "all detective on their ass"? Why not hire a private detective in the city to not only find out what's going on but to also deliver them a cease-and-decist letter (or to at least let them know you know what they're doing -- the attention, even from a PI, might scare them into stopping). Just a rookie thought.

I have these two guys, Vinnie and Rocko, I usually give them an IP to work with and when they're finished, the S.O.B. that was ripping off any of my intellectual property has to type with their elbows as its REALLY REALLY hard to type with two broken wrists and five broken fingers.
