ICS Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a talented web developer to help architect, construct, and maintain the applications that run ICS's umbrella of web sites. Under the direction of the General Manager for ICS Entertainment, Inc., this position will take a primary technical role in various projects for ICS including the construction of new websites and enhancing existing websites. ICS offers an exciting and friendly work environment and is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic developer to join the team.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in Java, JSP, and Perl web development with knowledge of a variety of different web technologies and strong implementation skills. Relational database experience is a must and prior experience working on large content based internet websites would be an advantage.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Work closely with business and creative staff to understand their needs, design solutions and build appropriate applications.
? Have key involvements in large-scale initiatives including the development of large scale content based websites, content management tools and web based applications.
? Run the technical side of projects from inception to completion.
? Evaluate external technologies and assist in making recommendations as necessary.
? Implement the division's application architecture, development, and deployment strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or other technical discipline required;
? Must have a minimum of three years increasingly responsible
technology experience, with prior hands-on work experience in internet applications development.
? Must have direct experience in designing, building, and supporting a large web presence including knowledge of scalability & security techniques.
? Experience in Operations/Systems Administration is a plus.
? Intensive hands-on implementation experience with the JavaBeans, JSP and Servlets, Struts.
? Working knowledge of most of the following technologies: OO Design Patterns, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat, JBoss Application Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, UNIX, ANT, and Perforce.
? Experience and knowledge of UI & Interactive Presentation technologies including AJAX, Flex, Flash, etc would be a plus
? Experience and knowledge of mobile technologies including WAP, on-deck/off-deck, SMS would be a plus.
? Must have excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills as well as being highly self-motivated.
? Experience with any of the following technologies would be a plus: DAMS, DRM, or VOD, Affiliate Systems, Content Management Systems.
