Hal,
I'll give you 400 for it because I actually have a need. I don't think you'll get 900 but you never know. Hit me up if your auction doesn't do well. I do however wish you the best of luck.Regards,
Rick Latona

Yes, yes, yes --and yes.
If you aren't a paysite operator with a bunch of sites and an affiliate program, and easy traffic, you have no business buying it.
The purchase price equates to roughly 1500 signups, maybe a little less, maybe a little more, depending how you value joins. I figure it will pay for itself in a few months for the right player --not a bad buy, even at $40k.Comment

I love how domains work, people just pull prices out of their ass.Comment

the name does not and will not generate income by itself so why is it $40,000? just cause it sounds good or looks good? See what big bird thinks \/Last edited by eddie-executive; 01-27-2005, 08:41 PM.Jealousy... is a mental cancer. ~B.C. ForbesComment

With 14,000 domains under management, it gives some background into how to value and manage them.Comment

Does it really? The names and prices we've seen from you say otherwise.Originally posted by DaddyHalbuckskowntafit wrote:

I understand X,XXX but no way in hell would it fetch 40grand unless it was developed with existing type in traffic.

I'd agree with that. Anything's possible, so you never know, and it doesn't hurt to try. But 40k would be extremely unusual. >$1,000 but <$40,000.Originally posted by emthreeI understand X,XXX but no way in hell would it fetch 40grand unless it was developed with existing type in traffic.
If anyone needs a milf domain on the cheap, milflikers.com is available for $7...not as strong as milflovers.com, but quite a savings! :-)Comment

Exactly, because people would rather keep them if they are not going to get a signifigant ammount for them.Originally posted by kowntafitI love how domains work, people just pull prices out of their ass.
I agree $40,000 is high, but you don't see a desperate seller here.Comment

I'm sure once it is developed and earning huge revenues, people would have no trouble paying that much for the developed brand name and domain.Contact ICQ: 159141828Comment

And getting it developed is gonna be a lot easier and quicker if it has a good memorable domain name. Kinda like remembering to put decent wheels on the cart before decided where to attatch the horse. Quicker development=more profit.Originally posted by paxton

True. But why pay $XX,XXX for a good memorable name that isn't premium, when you can get one for $X,XXX or even $XXX?Originally posted by volanteAnd getting it developed is gonna be a lot easier and quicker if it has a good memorable domain name. If I want to buy an undeveloped piece of land in some desolate area, why should I pay $1 million when an adjacent piece of property (that is very similar) sells for $50,000?
Anyway, the market speaks louder than you or I. Current bid: US $959.00 (Reserve not met)
Cheers.

You could just as easily develop and brand a domain you could pick up for 9 bucks at any registrar. Quick, go register MILFMania.com and hock it on ebay for 15 grand. It's got a nice ring to it. That domain is worth no more than 9 bucks until someone develops it into something worthwhile. Just the same as google.com wasn't worth shit, thehun.net wasn't worth shit, and so on. The guy selling this domain is an asshat. If he had any sense at all, he'd take the current offer and run.Originally posted by volante$40,000?
