Several hundred thousand new .eu domain names expected when
EURid opens at 11:00 on Friday
The new Internet top level domain .eu was introduced in December last year, but
until now only holders of prior rights have been eligible to apply for their protected
names. From Friday though, it is possible for anyone within the European Union to
simply register whatever available .eu domain name they want on a first come first
served basis.
