    Best video converter!

    I have tons of mpeg's that I want to convert to wmv.
    Im searching for a software that can do this for me, what can you recommend?

    Most important for me is quality of converted/output video.

    Please help

                  I know it sounds simple but windows media encoder from Microsoft's site is the best I've used. I've used them all. Download it now.

                          I think you are right, the quality of converted file is better then with any other converter I tried!

                          But I have a problem...
                          When I try to convert a 15 min MPG file to WMV I get an output file that's only 1 or 2 minutes?!?!? Why is that? How do I fix that?

                                  That sounds like a strange problem but the best guess I can make is that your frame rates are different. Ty to find the frame rate the mpeg file is playing in and match it with your WMV frame rate output setting.
                                  I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

                                      I solved that problem by selecting default video format from NTSC to PAL.
                                      But I have no idea what does this mean. I know that those are the video standards in usa and europe. So If I convert videos in PAL will everyone be able to view them? (Im in europe)

                                          The best converter I've ever used is my cousin, and he's sitting right next to me. LOL

                                                  LOL, he's from mid california. And when we finish building him a page and work out his rates I'll post it here.

                                                  He ripped "Dawn of the dead" (2004) and squeezed it onto a regular CD-r and maintained DVD quality. He works in a pro post house in santa monica so he works mostly in mainstream, and mostyl for hi profile clients.
