I think stealing a physical product, something that has already been produced, packaged, purchased by a store owner and shelved for sale is different than downloading a digital copy of the same item.

And for people who say, "but the stores and the company lost your sale because you downloaded it", bullshit, just because you download a digital copy does not imply your only other option was to buy a copy. I could of just watched it at a friends house when he rented it? Or I could of watched a friends stolen copy without knowing it was fake, does that imply that I also stole it, or perhaps helped conspired to steal it?

I think digital downloads enter a very grey area of law...
