I watched about 40 minutes of it HOPING it would get better but I couldn't bare to stand anymore pain and had to shut it off. Is there some sort of a miracle twist half way that everyone all of a sudden found the movie funny? Not once was I even close to laughing, except when I noticed that 40 minutes seemed like 8 hours had passed by.Comment

The problem is that it is "Dry humor", which is very difficult to capture on film. Notice that the characters hold no expressions. She says to Pedro..."I like your hair today"...I am laughing just thinking about that.Originally posted by Slick

I thought it was brilliantly funny, but I too was left feeling that it was just a set piece without any sort of dramatic power.
When Napolean's brother lets Lafondah do a makeover on him and he nasals to Napolean "Peeth out" I just about cried laughing.
