Sirius has much more than just the music (which BTW, is commercial free. I enjoy being able to listen to Fox News, CNN, CourtTV and CSPAN while in the car, which is especially nice if I have to go somewhere and there is something happening I am really interested in following.

Then there are the comedy channels, which is always fun. As far as music, I hadn't listened to music in the car for the better part of a decade, now I am checking out generes I would have never had CDs of to take with me... and liking some of it(but not enough to go buy CDs)

You can entertain yourself with a Sirius subscription almost as much as with a Cable TV subscription, and at little over $10/month cable can't touch it for entertainment value. I got the lifetime subscription so in the long run the per month cost will be even less. Don't look at it as paying for the radio programming, but toward the expense of uplinking channels to satellite, then divide that cost by a couple hundred channels
