Quite interesting indeed.
The thoughts that cross my mind are these:
Most people would focus on the negative aspects that may affect Ms. Midwest. No one likes being shaken down for sure. The flip side is that even negative publicity is "publicity" evidentary by this thread and previous ones alone. Sometimes noteriety breeds more fame.
Has anyone considered that the LPD finds it equally entertaining?
6 PM LPD Roll Call
Corporal - "So what's on the agenda tonight Sarge?"
Seargent - "Oh, well.. we'll work some traffic stops, maybe a few DUI checkpoints, and if shit get's boring we can always go check in on Melissa Midwest."
Corporal - "Hell yeah SARGE!"
I've been there in good ole Lincoln. It's not LA, and the LPD may have a little time on their hands.
I'm no lawyer, but if it were me... I wouldn't move. Why leave someplace you like? Also, I wouldn't go ANYWHERE without a videocam or a cam crew as you had in this instance. I'd also be uploading those vids to Howard Stern and any other sympathetic audiences to make sure that favorable publicity stays in your corner and not the corner of the Bible Thumping 80 year old residents of NE. As a matter of fact, MM should be honored they have nothing better to do.
