I need help asking someone out

I haven't asked a chick out in a long ass time because I haven't had the self confidence. But I feel pretty good lately and there's a girl I am eyeing.

I have NO idea what to say or do to get to her. She works at the movie store I go to and we talk for a few mins every time I am there. She seems to be receptive and smiles a lot when we chat... so I GUESS there are some signs there. I play it cool and such and she always seems excited to chat.

What can I say to NOT sound like a moron? Every time I think of something it sounds pitiful.

Say, "What are you doing later on?"...She'll say blase blah and then you ask for her phone number. Then when you call her, ask her if she'll go out and then you don't have to do it face to face.

I wouldn't ask her out at the store though...I'd get her phone number....UNLESS she hinted to you that she wanted to do something that night and then you would just ask her to go have something to eat after work.

Ask her out to do something one night. I would stay away from asking her to lunch or coffee, because then she might immediately label you as a potential friend...that would be bad if you want more.

If she gives you an excuse that she can't, but offers another night or something, that's cool. If she just gives excuses, don't try too much just accept she's prob not interested.
