      damn, russia and china are both allies of iran. dude from russia said the use of military force would "escalate tensions, entailing negative consequences that would be of benefit to no party." looks like shit is gonna hit the fan big time here shortly...

              the situation is complicated to say the least. the main problem is that iran's nuclear facilities are underground making an airstrike impossible. the only way to fight this is with a ground assault which i dont think the US is prepared for..

                                                      Haven't you heard of the US bunker busting bombs. No real big problem as long the location can be determined. When in doubt, just bomb everything.

                                                              Thanks to Dubya's conservative spending the USA can't run without borrowing money from China much less fight the wars we have going. Now we'll have to borrow money from China to fight one of thier allies.

                                                              The USA won the cold war by bankrupting the USSR. Think about what's been happening the past 5 years. Even the quite bearded man ran a campaign ad for Dubya 5 days before the last election.

                                                              Is it possibly all part of taking down the USA financially? When Dubya took office 6% of all taxes were used to pay interest on past debt. When he leaves it looks like it will be 20%. How in the fuck do you get out of debt when 20% of your income is being used to pay interest on loans (not paying off the loans).

                                                                  UNITED NATIONS (CNN) -- The U.N. Security Council has unanimously called on Iran to suspend uranium enrichment activities within 30 days and cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N. nuclear watchdog.

                                                                  This isn't just a US/Bush thing.. However for anything to ever happen it would likely have to be the US who makes it's happen. The UN will just give them a really harsh warning and then do nothing more.

                                                                  I'm against Bush and the Iraq war, but Iran shouldn't be aloud to get their hands on Nukes. Besides that we can't allow Iran to sell oil in Euro's.. that's like worse than making WMD's..
