Well he doesn't HAVE TO bring the friend but I guess his friend asked if she had any single friends and the convo got out of control. They figured it would be relaxed and cool to get to know them and them get to know us with the familiarity factor of us knowing each other real well and them knowing each other real well.

Then after dinner if we all want to ditch each other we can or we can go out and have some cocktails and watch a band at the pub or whatever.

We'll see. At least her and the guy know what the other one looks like though. Not that I'm being shallow but that sure helps matters if he doesn't look like a troll. And the fact that he didn't even ask what I looked like concerns me for some reason.
