ok so im ridein on campus today on a closed off street on the bike path, i come to a stop sign and fail to make a complete stop. This prick cop stops me and procedes to give me a $120 ticket for running a stop sign on a bicycle. My question is if i dont pay it what are they gonna do?

I used to get those all the time, show up for the court, with any luck Barney Fife won't show up and you will be cut loose.
One memorable time, the judge asked the officer why he was wasting her time and mine with bicycle moving violations and not on the prowl for real crime.

(If you were on a bike path you will win the ticket...if you were on the road your screwed, reason: a stop sign on a non-state road, "bike path, non-motor vehicle", is only a precautionary sign. Obviously this guy was having a bad day.)

Bikes are subject to the same laws cars are - and more. Some states have laws in which you must walk your bike through a cross walk.
