Actually, there are three types of Diabetes:
Type I - which is usually Insulin dependant (needle)
Type II - which is not normally Insulin dependant (can be controlled by proper diet, excercise & pills in most cases)
Gestational - only occurs during pregnancy

and then of course there's the juvenile Diabetic which can be either Type I or Type II.

I happen to be a Type II Diabetic and it's not the end of the world, as long as you control IT...don't let it control YOU.
