So do you guys feel i was unfair choosing my designer's logo? If you do think so...do you still think it was unfair after hearing that i gave a 2nd prize of 50 bucks for a logo i wont be using?

How about after seeing the poll results?

I agree...that was a good one...It was a last second entry before that poll happend...I came close to picking that one but some people around me talked me out of it....I think it was a real solid job though.

...seeing as platinum pimp was #2 in the poll though i found it fair to give him the 2nd place bonus...

see...i just dont see eye to eye with you on that point...

1) Its in the rules of the contest. If they didnt like it, then they didnt have to post an entry? And i think many people didnt post because of this fact....

2)I posted a public poll to try to be fair in judgement....Our in-house designer won pretty clearly

3) I gave a 50 dollar prize to a second place logo we are not even using....

Was i really that unfair?

Well personally i couldnt care less who enters the contest - however making a poll before all the entries was in - and making a partial judgement with basis in that poll - thats..bs - either decide for yourself or wait for all entries to come in - before making a poll.

I agree ...i should have done the poll on sat. instead of fri. My thinking was that it was fri and the thread had fallen to page 5 or 6. But I deffinitely can understand that point of view...Ironically, for me it was between the last entry that came in (lower case b) and the in-house. Some close friends in the desing biz made sure i didnt pick the b..they didnt like it. Not sure if that was the sediment accross the board or not...

But regardless...I feel i went out of my way to try and be fair about all this between doing the poll and paying out a 2nd place prize...and the disclaimer in place from the begining...I dunno, i just don't think it was that it was unfair at all in the end....

Pinkbee...you i think are the only one with a legit gripe cuz you didnt get to be in the pol...But as I recall you messaged me on icq AFTER seeing the poll and asked if you could still enter....So, i guess you knew that beforehand. I would have liked to have your efforts in the poll however. What's done is done. The issue is closed and I hope we can all move on. My goodness, who knew a logo contest could have so much drama...lol
