Nope, not how i opperate. My favorite design at this point is my designer's but I'm hoping someone come up with something more innovative....Corporate, so its simple...that last one was really good but not something i want to give to VC's on a biz card......So far my designer's work fits the bill the best ....look at what he has done if you want to know the recipe for impressing me......I hope someone on here can top that designComment

Ok here is a entry from me - not that it matters much, since you obviously have a different oppinion about logo design. I'm gonna for once say my oppinion about someone elses work and honestly.. that logo brad made is bad in soo many ways i dont know where to start.
1) The B looks like an 8, that had a carcrash
2) The circle isn't round - got flaws at the right end (typical photoshop error)
3) The "INC" would be impossible to see if you scaled the logo down
4) The Logo in its current state isn't scalable at all and useless for printing
5) Corp. look? imho not even close

haha very funny....if you noticed the poll yesterday....our design team's attempt won running away.....For your corporate logo (not just your design/development department) .......Its not so much about quality...but about uniqueness....And right now there are two finalists in my mind , and one of which is our design team's...and the board agreed with that sediment....So i look at this as just a further showing of how our logo's are some of the best on the boardComment

Heh...well, looks like this was one fucking huge mistake that blue up in my face. To be clear, my team consists of 2 designers, and 2 programmers (soon to be 3) based out of Seattle, Washington. For those that live in Seattle, our offices are in the North end of Ballard up near the high school. I invite you to come check us out if you dont belive that...lol
...Anyways, I took 3 things into consideration of choosing the winner of this contest....I have listed them in the order of importance:
1) My own personal opinion

(this poll didn't have the new entries however, but amongst the logos that had been made, my lead designer's entry clearly wong based off that poll
3) My friends in the businesses opinions
I'm sure i'll take a lot of heat, but Jake's design won in all three of these categories. So the winner entry is:

I think a lot of people (despite the poll results) will think that I was bias and unfair. I think it is clear that the people's choice in the 2nd place position was Platinum Pimp's logo set....

And about Platinum Pimp's entry. 1st off, i'd like to appologize because I did come off sounding to condescending....HOWEVER, I think you should post the next line in that quote of mine because I went on to say that Platinum Pimp is still the best in the business! I would just like to see him branch out slightly
....Being new in this arena, I don't want to offend anyone and I think if you talk to anyone I've done business with or who I have any other type of business relationship with, I try VERY hard to be fair, proffessional, and curtious and I do so. In the spirit of GFY i got a litttle sucked into my GFY persona versus my real-life/business persona and so if anyone's feeling were hurt by my critisisms of the logo works I appologize. Not trying to get on anyone's shit list.....

I hate to say it...but I've had posts thinking that the one i chose was the best, and plat. pimp's was the best....the poll clearly showed that 90% of people thought either our's was the best or Plat pimps.....Last I checked pro labs efforts didn't recieve a ton of votes or comments? However, I want to tell you...I actually thought they were very good quality of work.....I just don't think they kept the directions in mind....thats just not what i would want a business card personally...just a little too busy for my liking....No need to wish people bad and stuff though...thats just bad karma.

Platinum...I decided that my designer (jake)'s logo was the best for what is needed. The members of GFY backed that up in the poll i had posted.....
...But, i can't help but feel like i should give someone besides my in-house guys a prize because i want to be fair in all this. So I am going to send you a $50 prize for your efforts as a 2nd place prize...
