OK - I'm fed up with spyware!

I was fixing my friends laptop today, installing norton, firewalls .. the usual stuff but the amount of spyware on that machine was incredible. Adaware picked up over 1000 items.. that was enough for me - I'm about to format the fucker and start over WITH protection before it hits the internet.

Spam is annoying but spyware is WORSE - I can easilly delete an email but spyware can take over my PC, take me offline for DAYS and cause me to lose valuable work.

FTC - stop screwing around with teenage spammers and take down these 9 trillion spyware sites

no kidding spyware fucks with so much more shit then fucking spam. spam you just hit the delete key but with spyware sometimes you have to fucking format a machine.

stupid fuckers that get that spyware installed that your internet connection doesn't even work. They make some money off the install and then nothing else cuz your fucking internet doesn't work. fuck em

my mate had this fantastic one that somehow grabbed the text on a webpage in IE before the page actually loaded on his computer, and took out key text from the page ..like "business" .. and made them into links to search for business @ their search engine.

It's fucking insane!!

.... I make about $250 per day with mediatickets.net and I am only sending lil' traffic ... I guess a 10k TGP could make the same.

all the same to me, if i have to make an effort to remove it or it fucks with my pc, my internet or my files in any way its a huge invasion of my privacy and space.

i fuckin hate spyware/adware so much i paid a couple grand to have the software that removes that shit from your comp created (near completion, just setting up processing and expanding the library) so i could offer it to friends for free and for a small price to reg surfers. Am actually selling a copy of the software if anyone is interested in marketing it themselves.

I use it, and I run their Spywatch along with Sygate personal Firewall. I don't use Outlook Express. I use Mozilla Firefox instead of MSIE. I keep an eye on things. I don't have problems with spyware.

By the way, someone in here said something about hackers not hacking mozilla because of market share. BULLSHIT. MSIE is designed to link into the OS and use the scripting, etc. That's why MSIE is so widely hacked. If it was easy to hack Mozilla, wouldn't they just port their code to take advantage of it as well?
