I think sports like basketball and hockey are becoming shittier and shittier. THis is because the players know once they reach a certain level of pay, that means once they get their big contract, they don't have to perform. there is never going to be another michael jordan, because today's superstars make way more money, and many players of lower quality than him make a lot more with multi year guaranteed contracts. That means that once they sign the line, they don't care anymore. Vince carter is a primary example. the NHL lockout is another good example. people in the states don't even give a shit about hockey anymore.. am I right?

I have to agree with you here. Especially the NBA, that league is a fucking joke. Proof is how shitty we are now compared to the rest of the world in hoops, a sport we once dominated.
Partly due to expansion, more teams means more players. More guys who should be in the CBA get to play in the NBA.
