I predict that one of the main factors in who will survive will be the quality of the custom content a program invests in now. Can you imagine that in 5 years people will still be starting paysites using scenes ripped from DVDs and being passed off as a reality site? Besides, most of those DVDs that are available for licencing are shit anyways.
I find it funny that last year peolpe were telling me that "the custom content biz is dead" Yet I got into it and charge way more per scene than they do and TURN down work all the time. All these guys would have to do is take a basic video production course if they wanted to be able to raise their prices. Lots of this porn shot by "content producers" has the production quality of a 5 year-old's birthday party video.

The problem is the panoply of hillbilly dooshbags who think they can pick up a camcorder and be content producers. Then, of course, they have no clue as to what the value of their content is and charge pennies for their stuff (of course their stuff IS worth pennies since its so awefully produced).
But that cheap porn gets bought by cheap programs and boom, its flooded everywhere on the net. Eventually the content producers and the programs will go under because cheap porn is not a good business model... but with noobs spawning left right and center, we still keep getting a flux of unusable crap thats clouding the market, driving up inflation and driving down the salaries of people who are actually qualified to do the job.
