    Pfizer is a long term play. I have been holding it for several years. Pays a dividend and has a huge pipe line of drugs. It took a hit as of late because of Vioxx getting pulled off the market. Pfizer makes Celebrex which is in the same class of drugs. A lot of investors are scared Celebrex will meet the same demise as Vioxx.

    I think the stock is already reflecting this and with the exception of some headline news type dips should start heading up long term.

            I am starting to switch to a shorting mode now...I think this rally is done, but we will see

            As soon as I get confirmation int he charts that we are heading lower, I will start shorting. Lets see what happens.

                        Another fucking asshole is upon us. Percentage wise he LOST money last week. I find it funny that you claim you bought BCON and made money because of this asshole but you did not mention that you bought VASO (LOST 13%) & EDEN (LOST 8%). Why is it you only bought what went up?                                                 Meta - I opened my Etrade account and downloaded the "Pro" software. It looks nice although I have only looked at it superficially. I'll start playing around with some backtesting when I have time. I hope the software allows for backtesting multiple stocks simultaneously.

                                                                I think for the stocks that are being discussed here, many do not have any options issued. Not every equity has derivative trading.

                                                                Also, most traders I know personally don't mention they are using options. It's assumed. Especially when going short. No sense in setting one's self up for a potentially unlimited loss.

                                                                            I'm in ASTM, entered at 2.54, aiming for at least 3.0, but will probably stay in it longer and wait for the new stem cell company IPO (ViaCell) which will be launched in the next few days. That should give all stem cell stocks a boost

                                                                            I'm also in ALTI on a tight stop loss. I like the company, if it goes up I stay in, if it goes down a few ticks tomorrow, I exit. Entered at 2.4 aiming for 2.7

                                                                                Seeing how it's friday evening and you've had a week or two of play since your initial posting, I'm curious... what are your overall results across all your picks since the initial posting from I believe it was the 6th? Obviously a small sample like this is a poor indicator of how well your method works over the long term, but I'm no hater; I'll give anyone with a semi-reasonable idea a fair hearing.

                                                                                And just out of purient interest... how much gain would that represent for you? I'm curious to know how much you're dedicating to these transactions. I won't be insulted if you don't answer this.

                                                                                        Rick, I totaly missed your post, i appologize. To answer your question, my overall gain the market since my initial posting till my last posting here were a 28% gain. Now I tell you that hesitantly due to the present of a well known hater in this thread, who will no doubt call me a liar and an asshole to boot, but I really don't care.

                                                                                        For your 2nd question, I do not post every single trade I make on this board. Some of my trades I consider to be very short term, where I am in and out, and therefore it just would not be feasible to post a pick like that due to the timing constraints.

                                                                                        I usually make about 5 full trades per day, so the picks that I have posted here represented about 10% of my trading during the time period.

                                                                                                    NASDAQ = 2,053
                                                                                                    DJIA = 10,481

                                                                                                    The market technicals are still negative. We may have a short term rally coming up, but this rally is a rally to SELL INTO, not to buy any stock. We are heading down more.

                                                                                                    In my opinion, we have entered a new bear market. The big caps like EBAY, AMAZON, GOOGLE will be the stocks hardest hit in a bear market. Keep that in mind if you are holding those stocks.

Oil is on the rise again, and one of the first sectors that get hit immediatly when oil goes up is the airline sector. The market has been in a downtrend and technicals are not improving, and CAL will continue to fall because of those 2 combinations. I believe it's going to $7.70 in the short term.

                                                                                                                CAL is at $9.53. You are getting your ass kicked again. You have proven that you know dick about how to trade on the stock market.

                                                                                                                Now I will tell everyone why this was just plain dumb. CAL is in negotiations for their employees to take a pay cut. If the news comes out today that they will take a 5% cut the stock will go up even more than it has today. Just because you THINK oil is going up that does not mean the stock will go down. An airline can raise their prices $10.00 per ticket to off set the oil cost.
