    Cleaner 6 & Final Cut Pro

    Does anyone here use Cleaner 6 together with Final Cut Pro?

    We have used Cleaner and Premier for a lot of years and the Premier vs Final Cut Pro thing has been beaten to death already but now that its time for a video editing system upgrade we are thinking of going Mac G5, Final Cut Pro and Cleaner 6.

    Does anyone have any feedback on this set up? Is it good to work with? Are you happy with results?

      Use Final Cut Pro on my Mac G5, I have not used Cleaner 6 though. FInal Cut Pro rocks for editing video.

              In regards to video format? I use quicktime converstion then burn for upload. My windows machine is connected online so I use Vegas to render to .wmv format and both formats are uploaded.

                      Someone just turned me to Sorenson Squeeze. You use that program on a windows machine. Then set up a batch folder over the network to your mac. Anytime a file is exported from FCP to this batch folder, the PC will automatically start compressing for how ever many different presets you want to use. So you can export the FCP file, then have Squeeze compress it to Broadband wmv, Dial Up wmv, mpeg all at once, and all on a different machine that what you're editing from. So your mac is free to do more editing while the PC batch compresses. Hope that helps

                          i have used cleaner since like version 3 or some shit like that. i use cleaner XL on the pc.. but it shouldnt really matter what editing program you use..

                          for example we output all our video stuff as DV avi, and store it on our server. then we use cleaner to ouput to both wmv and qt (high and low) and if we ever need that dv edited footage again for something we just go to the server to grab the file.. granted this can reall take up space We have a nice raid 5 system that seems to work now and drives are really cheap..
