Hmmm...this story sounds a little suspicious to me. Here's a little Microbiology 101 for all of ya out there - Herpesviruses (and there are 7) are large, complex viruses with a double-stranded DNA molecule that can code for up to 80 proteins (sounds pretty sturdy, right?). However, they are all very fragile and susceptible to inactivation by heat (for one), so if a substance with the virus (like semen) were placed in hot food it would (most likely) be inactivated. For this reason, I question the validity of the story. Now if the semen were used as a salad dressing that might be another story....Boy, am I glad my microbiology degree can finally pay off!!! LOL
