I am finally recovered from Vegas Internext. I met lots of new friends, chatted with tons of FLASHCA$H webmasters, and avoided contracting that nasty genital ailment I got last year in Vegas.

I did have a pretty insane battle with Thumbzilla?. But all is well. Turns out he thought I borrowed his peach-scented hand lotion. It was all a misunderstanding. We?re on good terms again. (But if Mothra shows up next year, I?m gonna give him a piece of my mind!)
Due to weather in Vegas on Monday, everyone?s planes were delayed. Bad omen? Or perhaps just a gentle reminder to go with the flow. (Since my computer crashed later that day, and one of our models had to go home due to a death in the family, it could have been either.)
With the travel delays, I had to rush to make it to SleazyDream?s TGP party. The concept of a boat tour at sunset was awesome. Unfortunately the reality of being on the water in the dark?in the rain?was less idyllic. Still, nothing like being caged on a boat with a bunch of pornographers to ensure some forced networking and general depravity. A good time, and the darkness made it easy to throw overboard anyone not using FLASHCA$H FHGs on their TGP.
I attended many parties over the course of the show, but the gay-focused ?Cockumentary? party was the most memorable (in a retina-searing way). I had a blast. But it was definitely not for the homophobic or easily offended. There was a live gay shoot going on in the side room, gay porn on all the Plasma TVs, and the mostly-naked bartenders would take a break every 30 min or so to blow each other. One would stand on the bar while the other would go to town. It was the first time I ever felt it necessary to order drinks ?sans penis.? In fact, I avoided ordering any drink that may have required stirring?.Cause I did NOT see any swizzle sticks around.

The Cockumentary party was held in the THE Hotel penthouse. For those of you not hip to the Vegas scene. ?THE Hotel? is a swanky upscale hotel *inside* the Mandalay bay. Let me just display my disgust at the name of that facility. ?THE Hotel?!?! The arrogance is shocking. The confusion it causes is massive. And worst of all, the rooms there are so nice that it makes you hate your *regular* Mandalay Bay room all the more. BTW, THE Halcyon doesn?t think THE coffee at THE café is cute, either.
I was going to head to the GFY warmup party at around 3am, but saw lots of people returning form it at that time. The party was scheduled 8pm til ?? So apparently ??? = ?3:00am.? Good to know.
When not at a party or on the show floor, the Square bar was the place to be. I think it also had a cheesy name like ?Tropical Lounge? or ?Island Vista Bar? but all I remember is that last year it was a circle. This year it was a square. At this rate, I look forward to good times at the hexagon bar next year.
When I stumbled onto the show floor the next day, I was greeted with something horrific. LONG LINES. Long, slow-moving lines. But, much like a rainy boat ride, captivity like that is just another opportunity to meet the people around you.
But when I got to the front of the line, I realized why the lines sucked so bad. The people working to issue passes were a bunch of little old ladies. Don?t get me wrong, I loved the ?Where?s The Beef? commercials. And I think the world needs more knitted sweaters. But when you are dealing with a 2 hour line, you do NOT need to chit chat with every single person. Just type in the info, exchange a recipe or two, and GET THE LINE MOVING.
While in line I did get a chuckle from the shirts that Jenna J?s bodyguards wore. The backs said ?Touch Her and Die.? I wondered if that was a reference to Herpes or???
Once inside, FLASHCA$H spokesmodel Mary and I started cruising the floor and spreading the love. Well, love and CDs. If you haven?t gotten your copy of VOLUME 1 of the FLASHCA$H DJ MIX SERIES, make sure you shoot an email to halcyon AT flashcash.com with your WM# and mailing address.
While I was pretty damn proud of the CD we had to give away, I have to give props to VideoPassCash who gave away big ol? beer bongs. There was something poetic about seeing old men in suits carrying around a show floor bag in one hand and a 4 foot beer bong in the other. Well, either poetic or sad.
The rest of the show was more of the same. Parties, networking, Good people, and good times.
