When you tickle your feet does anything happen . like in your head maybe.. The nerves must still exist right ?
How do you feel about stem cell research.
Do you think a non-paralyzed person could ever beat a pralyzed person at a wheelchair race ?

I can not feel myself piss, though I know when I need to, same goes with shitting. Though it is a little different cause then I feel some.
Colostomy bag, dear gawd no.
Tickling is all mental man. Very little to do with nerves. Try it, nobody can tickle themselves. Now to answer the underlying question. You may get a reaction if you stimulate the nerves and this usually results in a spasm of some sort. Yes the nerves are still there but in my case they are short circuited or dead ends when it reaches the spinal cord in an attempt to reach the brain. Some have found detours or other routes and some just do not get there ever. Like I can still feel hot and cold somewhat but not how hot or cold. Or I could bend my foot funny and end up with an ache in my lower chest.
I am all for stem cell research and what it can do for future injuries. I know I typically would never be a candidate since most or all results will be applied primarly to resent injuries. Those that are against it just need to wake the fuck up. Either we use the tissue or we destroy it. If you value life so bad then surely you would not want it destroyed right?
Umm that really would depend. There is a lot to be said for general arm strength, but even more for understanding the basics of driving a chair at any significant speed. Then few people really develop their triceps much and that is where the strength comes from when pushing.
