I presume at some point you must go into a standing mode (of some type) even if it is to go from your chair to your bed.

Do you experience this same pain, or does paralysis eliminate the pain?
For me it is a new type of pain that can not be even associated with what people assume to be pain. As most should know pain is really just a mental state, it does not really exist where the injury is. Though if you treat the effected area your brain compensates and knows to adjust it some.
Well for me when I hurt an area I can not feel some of the impulses still make it through to my brain to alert my it that there was an injury (sometimes it just makes one up by the way). Well my brain turns on the pain to let me know something hurts. Well it has no real idea how bad the injury really is so it over compensates and to add insult to injury it sends the pain signals elsewhere. It also has no way for me to sooth the pain at the point of injury.
So in essence I get to just ride out the pain until my brain forgets about it, which can can a long time. Or on the freak chance that my brain suddenly decided to make up pain for its own reason (no injury) it lasts much longer.
