          We use http://kayako.com

Used to use Live Person, but the prices are steep. You can just buy this program for a one time fee and works great

          Hope that helps!

yeah.. they charge $70 for an executable program... i was disappointed when I bought it... all it is is a program that uses IE to connect to the site and display the same control area lol.. the only thing it has is a little system tray popup when someone messages you... that was one thing that pissed me off.

Yea, that is what I did not like about that program as well. The one I have is a system and runs on our servers and then you download the chat program part locally and it runs stand alone and starts up when booting, etc.

is it all web based, or you download software on your computer?

Both, you set up the program on a server and then the chat part you load onto you local computer(s) whoever is going to be chatting. There is a whole admin area that you have on the server where you set up users and permission, etc.
