        I was born in South Africa. In Johannesburg. I spent all my vacations in Cape Town, Durban etc.

        Cape Town is really beautiful. When you fly in, you see Table Mountain (called that because the clouds sit on top like a tablecloth) on one side and the sea on the other. It is really an awesome site.

        What is amazing about South Africa is, it is really civilized and urban in the cities, but just a ten minute ride into the mountains and you can see monkeys and all the wild animals you want. You can even go to an Ostrich farm and ride the ostriches. Very cool.

        Cape Town is just like any big American city. Act cool and you will be fine.

                    Been there too- Cape Elizabeth, Cape Town, Durban, J-Burg. Did a lot of driving but i wouldnt recommend that.

                    Check out the wine country as mentioned above and also the Croc/Alligator farms- I still have a nice wallet from there.

                    I assume you are flying first- 21 hours or so to get there!
