I know about all the shit that happens, and that animals of all sorts do get killed for food, my point was that no matter how much we can't really do shit about it (me not eating meat or something won't make them stop) i still hate to see it going on.

I have a problem since the dolphin's encephalization quotient is second only to ours, and only slightly lower. What this means is that they not only posses sentience but a level of intelligence near that of humans. I suppose slaughtering them for food is the result of our belief that we are 'God's children' and have stewardship over this planet and everything in it. I think that's bullshit and what those fishermen are doing is tantamount to murder. But hey, we don't care when humans are slaughtered so why should give a shit when dolphins are?
P.S. I eat meat but. Most of what I eat is only meat that I hunt for myself though I do go out burger every so often. I think that everyone that sits around stuffing a double grease bomb with cheese down their throat should be required to hunt for that meat once in a while; might change their attititude.Comment
