This is some good news, we have done ok with the Hegre galleries.

One criticism, a lot of the series used on these galleries are too dark or soft. It's difficult to even thumb them. The series used on the TGP's should be crystal clear.

See, that could be your impression. It's not that we do not get that kind of comment, but it's a scattered one, and after all, we sell soooo much more than Hegre, that somehow, we do something right. Our growth ratio, is also much higher, and we've been here 7 years, not 2, or 3. We should be the ones recessing, not the new, and superpromoted sites. I think you're just judging based on your taste, and common knowledge. Maybe you're clouded but your perception of what sells. You might be worng. Exactly like the common stereotype that softcore does not sell, and then it turns out it can sell better than porn. Believe us, with our mega crappy design, compared to Hegre's flashy one, with a lot less bragging (well, we're bragging now), a lot less marketing, a lot less cloning, and copying (yes Mr. Hegre owes almost everything of his success to MET, down to tiny details. Did anyone know Hegre before him being featured on MET???), we still blow them away. Something we do, must be right, for customers, I mean. We retain more, we sell a lot more. On boards where consumers can vote, we beat him 92 to 67, or something similar. I believe that we know what we're doing. Yes super clear, sharp images can be fun sometimes, and we have a bunch of those too, but always the same thing...always the same background...always the same light, and most of all, an entire series where the girl moves a muscle in 200 shots, that can be deadly for signups, and retention. Believe me, in softcore, we have no competition, not even a slight one. You're overblowing someone, that has really few merits, professionaly speaking. Roy Stuart, who won the same prizwe, as Hegre, just wrote us asking us to remove the mention of that award, labelling it as: "Pathetic thing". He ashamed of winning it, not proud. Stuart is an example of a real photographer, that sells real books. Some legendary photographers shot soft focus forever, and sold millions of books, not a few thousands, like the kings of sharpness. That should make you think. We sell more on soft days, than sharp days, always. That's another freebie to the numerous MET clone sites. Courtesy of MET ART. I think you guy's photography is way ahead of the rest. People who use those bright ass lights make the girl look shitty. You guys seam to get it perfect to make the girls look very very attractive.

I'm commenting on what works on TGP's, and generally what works is a clear and succinct message to the surfer. If it's difficult to thumb it can be difficult to make that connection.

I see material for your sites listed on TGP's all the time, and the persons making those galleries have generally chosen the cleaner sets and thumbs to use. There must be a reason why the webmasters are doing this. I think a lot of programs really have no idea of what is required by their TGP webmasters.

And don't get me wrong, I am in no way meaning to say Hegre is a better site and I apologize for mentioning them in your thread. What I am saying is we have done ok with them, and expect to do better with you on the same traffic with FHG's.

Yes, but maybe they make the wrong assumptions. Why should we sell more on soft, rather than sharp? Is it only a traffic difference? We sell too many memberships, not to be getting them from all over the places. We're not selling niche memberships. Maybe someone should try a different way of promoting us. Anyway, I don't want to give a way too much to competitors. There would be more details to give out about too many things, but that would only help the clones.

Beside, they did not lauch the usual little wars at us for sometime, as far as we know. We better be nice too. We promised that if they would stay in their place, and leave us alone, and not copy too much, we would be nice, and quiet. As far as I know, they're doing so.

your fhgs do not work with comusthumbs

you guys have some beautiful ladies, and the photos are always stunning. props.

Try the bulk importer with fast scan set to on. Afterwards manually thumb them or if they are too dark do it in Photoshop.

This is one of the points I was making previously, I don't think all the programs making FHG's are testing them with the more common TGP softwares for import compatibility.
