Its no joke - the stores can not accept any cash payment over $15500 - you will need to use CCs, checks or bank transfers.
The stores said "please, just let us report large cash payments like the banks do", however the politicians turned that offer down. So now you are committing a crime, if you pay or receive cash payments over $15500
