I read the Illiad a few years ago and loved it... the movie was a waste of $10 for me. If you haven't read the book you'll probably like the movie though.

The scene where Achilles (Pitt) leads his men ashore against an entire army was pretty awesome. I give that movie a 5/10 rating, but some of the action scenes are well worth a second and third viewing.
