I would be willing to bet this had something to do with all of those storms yesterday and last night. I am sitting right in the middle of one of the hardest hit areas and there are over 2000 people in my area alone still without electricity this morning. If you had looked at the weather alert map yesterday and up until wee hours of the morning when I last looked, over half of the USA was under a weather alert.
We noticed a huge dip in traffic yesterday and last night, it was horrible. Anytime you have severe weather that was this widespread, it is bound to hurt internet traffic to some degree.
