Has anyone reported hackers/password sharers to cops/feds?

    Hey,

I am a newbie at running a paysite. I used to run a blog while in college and thought it would be an easy biz to get into. But there have been so many hack attacks. I have seen that there are password protection progs out there, but has anybody reported this activity to the cops or feds? Would they just laugh at me?

    Thanks

I would assume that the feds and the local cops both have power to deal with this but I am unsure that they will because 1)porn sites, and 2) damage is small. But if aggregated together the damage that I have sustained is quite high

Even though it is a porn site, as long as it is a legal legimate business and you have suffered a sustained loss of income I rekon you would be entitled to whinge to someone...
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

I believe youre entitled - the main barrierer probably is to get them to act on it...

The authorities won't bother with low end shit like that. Fuck don't even bother contacting them about shit like that, they have better things to do.

Have you or anyone else actually attempted this or are you just assuming?

Completely, why is this a completely ridiculous train of thought? I freely admit that I'm pretty young and naive but I thought that this might be a realistic way to attack the problem, no?

The Police, CIA and FBI are there to chase murderers and big time criminals (like parking on a handicaped space ...) etc. That's an important task!

If you have a problem with hackers on your paysite, get one of these security scripts and don't bother the cops. The scripts are cheap and effective!

yes they would. just invest in pennywize or any of those scripts... that will largely take care of your problems until you get larger and then you can get serious, but honestly johnny law is no more interested in your password hacks than in fraudulent chargebacks.

And he/she/they don't even have any whitepapers they've written.
                          Wouldn't trust them.
Probably just a blackhat hacker who wants to turn legit or a scammer.

$12/month? Too cheap to be professional.

There was a thread about iBouncer's "security" services recently, correct?
