search for 'Photoshop brushes grunge' on Google - most of that is done with grungy brushes, there are a ton of them around. other filters and effects went into your samples but the custom brushes did alot of what's there.

Yeah it is. If there's something you want to do in Photoshop, they've got a tutorial or two or three.
