I just finished watching the feature length documentry Inside Deep Throat and it was pretty good. More interesting than the actual film to me. Anyway, a bit at the very end is at the AVN show but the is is basiclly the story of Deep Throat ,the people in it and what happened to the States because of it.
There is certainly some parallel in the documentry to what is happening to our part of the industry at the moment. Perhaps it can be said that internet porn is the modern version of deep throat in terms of being talked about in mainstream society and now the backlash from the gov't because of it.
For sure they talked about at the end of the film about the changing of the laws. One of the lawyers that prosecuted Hary Reams ends the documentry by saying that he thinks the climate is even more ripe now for going after pornographers. He says 'if only these terrorists would go away we could do more'.
