If the FTC did serve them with legal documents then it's not at all surprising that their company bank accounts, their personal bank accounts, their wives or husbands or ex-wives or ex-husbands accounts or anyone that the FTC thinks might have any money belonging to them have been frozen. If they have been appointed a receiver through due process, they will have no control over their funds, the receiver will. Writing letters for them telling the FTC how much this financially straps affiliates will most likely have zero effect on things either, or at least that's how it's played out in the past.
One of the FTC's favorite receivers for adult cases seems to be Robb Evans & Associates, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were appointed to the case, especially with their extensive experience in cases involving companies like Maxcash and the Ken Taves fiasco.
Out of all the governments various enforcement branches, the FTC is not the one you want chasing you around, that much is for sure.Comment

I agree with that premise, that the gov't would rather try other avenues than obscenity if it wanted to crack down on online porn right now. However, if Vegas_Playa is to be believed, this sounds more like a case of the FTC cracking down for legitimate consumer protection reasons. In prior online porn cases involving the FTC, I think that was also the case. Perhaps the porn aspect provided a little added motivation, but fundamentally the FTC was involved because of marketing, disclosure, or billing practices which they considered questionable or fraudulant.Originally posted by $5 submissionsThis is a very cogent point--obscenity is a bitch to win. So, there are other fronts from which to wage war on porn--consumer protection, banking/fund transfer laws, accounting issues, etc etc.Comment

To see their home page to go www.livewebfriends.com/money and log in as an affiliate, try really any 3 or 4 digit # between 100 and 4000, pretty sure 2007 works, or 2008 and try a password of 987654 or 123456 - not a tough code to crack! You can see their news information about the freeze and the FTC. livewebfriends or livenetfriends is the site that S4C promotes it is their main site. happy huntingComment

Thanks for the screen shot, just to prove im not full of it. As for the shave %, i guess its not that important anymore if they cant pay on any of it.
Im assuming this affects S4C affiliates as well as their manual affiliates the same way, as I believe it all comes out of the same accounts. If anyone who is an S4C affiliate has recieved their check and can cash it, fill us in.
Also if Donnie or any S4C rep is online, please explain this one.Comment
