I can't believe all you idiots think the police should be making decissions about what's right and what's wrong. The officer was obviously following up on a complaint that had be made and Melissa is free to fight in in court.
You think the police officer should just throw out complaints based on their own judgment? What about when a porn industry worker gets raped and the police officer says "well, she's a porn star, probably asked for it"? Then you'll want it back the other way, with the courts deciding and the officers following up on the complaints.
