Thats the biggest mis-conception there is when it comes to solo sites. Those "contracts" are not worth the paper they are written on. When it comes down to it... it cant stop a person from pursuing his/her career which makes any sort of non-compete pretty much useless in this type situation. You can throw it around and pretend like it means something and some young models might even buy it, but a contract that restricts her from going somwhere else or starting a site on her own is pretty much useless. You can restrict them from using content you shot, but you cant stop them from making a living.

I'm sure there is enough content to update it for a some time

I hope youre right. However, it really depends on the arrangment he had with the model. My understanding (convo with Phil a year or so ago) that she is on a revshare type pay structure. He may have all the content in the world, but not be able to use it if she is no longer profiting from it. I hope im wrong.

Im not trying to give Phil or anyone here a bad time at all. In fact.. I really feel for Phil. The model has to assume these risk regardless of how bad they suck. In the end.. its usually the webmaster that takes it in the ass when the model quits or is forced to quit when situations arise like this one.

I feel for Phil on this. Been there so I know what he might be going through. It was just a wake up call for me to change my business model as it relates to the models.

Anyone doing solo sites, here's my thought. I've got 3 solo sites and a bunch others. Prob close to 15 total.

1. Don't tell the girls the site. They aren't your friends and many of you forget that. These girls don't give a fuck about you, they see you as $$ that's it.

2. Shoot as much shit as you can

3. Don't bring your girls to shows. I backed out of one of the shows 2 yrs ago with one of my girls because I didn't want someone else filling up her lil head with the "grass is greener" shit. The same mother fucker will smile in your face and slip your girl their biz card. This biz is 100% cut throat!

4. Don't let the girls talk to the other girls, KEEP THAT SHIT SEPERATED! Do you guys think Tiffany isn't talking to Seanna, Nikki or those other girls? 18-21 yr old girls tend to think the same. Now Tiffany's mad, I'm sure she's gonna have some kinda of influence over the remaining.

Not at all true. She had problems with the people that originally did her site and ripped her off. And started a new site. Their new site is doing really well. Its the girl and the marketing that gets signups not the domain name.

here is one of those great problems in this business: let's say I promote a girl's site on a revshare. Suddenly she decides to quit and all the revshare renewals go down the toilet. I am sort of wondering if that sort of "just decided to stop" isn't a breech of contract with each individual webmaster in the program, and as such, is actionable as a class action (wouldn't that be special?).

I am not clear on the terms, but can a site just "disappear" like that and have all the recurs blow up without any legal issues?
