thats just not true... Barca went into a massive bidding war with Man Utd in 2003 to get Ronaldinho.. 27 million euros is not pennies... truly a great investment, but you live in a dream world if you think clubs don't buy themselves to the top.. kudos to the teams trying, but its tricky as hell (just look at arsenal this season)
