Cross selling mainstream items from an adult site??

I can tell you first hand that mainstream companies (real mainstream, not penis pills and whatnot), freak out at anyone sending them adult traffic. My old mainstream company freaked out when someone pointed out that if you googled their name that adult sites show up in the results do to the affiliate links. You have to find mainstream companies that have no problem not only working with adult but are prepared to be associated with them.

In general the two don't mix very well.

Mainstream (even some online gaming) sponsors don't want their banners or products mentioned on porn sites.

Probably would not be purchasing a $100 item on top of a $3000 plus down payment no. However mainstream companies cross promote and sell all the time. The local convenience store would be a good example. Come in for Gas, leave with a Coke and gum.

If you have the traffic (mainly men) i would think that you could cross sell or promote something else to them. (ie: flowers near Valentines Day) Traffic is Traffic, especially when they've had a good experience with your site.

as a man you know, that when you are horny, you dont think. People who buy porn dont wanna buy flowers or any other gifts, they mostly join a paysite with the dick in one hand, they dont think, they want jerk off.
