That's an idea that crosses my mind alot, but it's a serious risk. I've bought paid spots before and didn't even get 1 signup. I've had gallerys that i've freehand submitted in the top 10 position on thehun and a few others and only got 2 or 3 signups. Basically I lost money by getting on those sites; the bw bill killed me.

Keep your money and do AVS/AEN, so that all your costs are paid for you (hosting, content, etc). Get extra capital from it, see what works and what doesn't, and by the end you'll have more than 10k to invest in something you know has a good chance at working.

If you've got 10k and don't know how to make money with it, spend 500-1000 on an idea, try it out, and calculate your return on investment. If you made more than you spent, invest more of the money. If you lost your shirt, spend another 500-1000 trying something else. If you came close, see if you can refine your approach to make it profitable. I would not spend the full amount on one approach/idea until you have some idea how to profit from the investment. PPC, high-PR text links, TGPs, domains, paysites, and so on can all turn a profit, but all these approaches have experienced competitors, so you need to read up, experiment, and learn how to turn a profit.

I've got a couple of ideas that i've been working on. My main goal is consistent & profitable niche traffic. I figure a great way to get a foundation is tgp traffic.
